We are pleased to announce that Park Avenue Rochester has been awarded the Singapore Productivity Awards 2017 under the Hospitality sector.
The event held on 24 November 2017 at Shangri-la Hotel, was graced by Mr Lim Swee Say, Minister for Manpower.
Now in its fourth year, the annual Singapore Productivity Awards (SPA) initiated by Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and SPRING Singapore, aims to recognise organisations in Singapore that have achieved significant results in their productivity journeys. Other than celebrating productivity excellences, the Award winners serve as important enterprise role models to spur the wider business community to transform and be more productive. The Awards adopts a two-pronged evaluation process and winners are selected based on both Quantitative and Qualitative Assessments.
The 10 SPA winners this year are drawn from six sectors in the economy - food and beverage, hotel, logistics, construction, manufacturing, and infocomm and technology. They were: Dian Xiao Er, Park Avenue Rochester, Marina Bay Sands, Elite International Logistics Singapore Pte Ltd, Hua Siah Construction Pte Ltd, Teambuild Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd, LHT Holdings Limited, Micro-Mechanics, EGIS Healthcare Technologies Pte Ltd and Info-Tech Systems Integrators Pte Ltd.
For the hotel sector, a total of 8 hotels were shortlisted for the award and Park Avenue Rochester was able to outdo and stand out from its competitors such as St Regis, Royal Plaza on Scotts and M Social. Submitting a total of 4 key projects that were implemented over the past year, we were able to demonstrate a holistic and sustainable approach towards productivity, which includes leveraging technology and automation, embracing innovation and value creation, facilitating capability building for employees and fostering collaboration.
Park Avenue will continue pursuing productivity enhancement initiatives through innovative approach to keep the operating cost at bay and sharpening its competitive edge.
